5 tiers reduced to 4
A wedding cake that I made for the sister of my sister-in-law. Although I actually have known the bride-to-be since high school – longer than I’ve been related to her through marriage.
This was originally a five-tier tropical carrot cake (with cream of coconut and pineapple in it) frosted in cream cheese. When I got it to the reception center, the florist and I agreed that it would be better to take the top layer off and replace it with the flowers she had planned for the cake top. So tier 5 was taken off and replaced with the flowers you see in the final picture. I’m pretty sure that extra tier was gone before the party even started.
